Sunday morning volunteer stewarding/work parties in Dunbar/Spring neighborhood
August 9 @ 5:30 am - 9:00 am
WHEN: Meet 5:30am. Finish by 9am
WHERE: We meet at 813 N. 9th Ave to gather tools, then we walk to that morning’s work site(s)
Work can vary from pruning to weeding to seeding to creating water-harvesting earthworks to planting native plants to picking up garbage. Varies from week to week.
Focus is to work and get things done. This is hands-on work. We’ll teach you techniques if you don’t know them. Then you can teach others as you gain knowledge and experience.
Bring water.
NOTE: Sunday, August 2, we will meet at 6am on south side of Catalina Park in the West University neighborhood to enhance the street-side stormwater-harvesting basins there that are currently not harvesting water due to clogged inlets.
