Come join us this Sunday, October 9th 6:30am to clean up, steward, and plant wildflower seed within the water-harvesting traffic calming green infrastructure at University Blvd and 11th Ave.
We’ll weed, prune, clean up litter, and plant native wildflower and restoration seed mixes.
Its a great opportunity to improve your plant identification skills, as we’ll make clear what plants are desired (and why), and which are invasive weeds.
Work shouldn’t take more than an hour, then we’ll head to another location in the neighborhood.
Want a similar work party on your block?
Contact Brad at NeighborhoodForesters@gmail.com and we’ll help you organize it and bring in other volunteers.
The idea is to get to know your neighbors, and then we help each other out while making things better for everyone.
Hope to see you there!
